From time to time, we get to work with a customer for a special project with audio needs. These clients typically have never been to a studio before, and it's important for us to make the experience as pain-free and enjoyable as possible for them.
Saint Hilary Catholic School, a K-8 School Catholic School in Tiburon, California that is "compassionate, innovative and future-ready," holds annual fundraising auctions for various causes. This year's event last March held 200 parents, staff and supporters. with a “Strictly Ballroom” theme. Throughout the event, dinner and a “live auction” was held which included items such as yoga lessons, a Wine Country "staycation", a trip to Rome, and the opportunity to be “Principal for the Day.”

Entertainment for the event included performances by Bay Area band “Wonderbread Five,” as well as a “flash mob” to Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk,” choreographed by 7th Grade teacher Jawanda Smart and performed by fathers from the school.
Midway through the silent auction program, the guests were treated to a presentation to the school's 2018 “Fund-A-Need.” This year's F.A.N. involved constructing an outdoor kitchen/lunch hub where BBQ lunches can be prepared and children could be served their hot lunch throughout the school year. The fundraiser was spearheaded by Tina Setzer.
Tina reached out to Prolific Sound Solutions with her idea to supplement the fundraiser with musical and visual media. She came up with the concept for a music video based on Young MC’s “Bust a Move.” The remix, fittingly titled "Build the Hub,” contained reworked lyrics that Tina came up with on her own, which focused on their efforts behind their fundraiser. Tina required assistance in finding a vocalist to perform the song, in addition to recording, mixing, & mastering services for the audio. We paired Tina with Jeremy “J.Mal” Bluitt of Oakland, CA, a long time client and friend.
J.Mal was the perfect fit for the role and the audio came out spectacularly. Tina then took the audio and paired it with footage of Saint Hilary students and Saint Hilary Dad Andrew Broughton.

"I had an amazing studio experience with Kyle," Tina shared. "I was blown away by his talent and professionalism. He went above and beyond in that he even helped me find a singer/artist for the project."
The music video premiered at the 2018 Saint Hilary School Fundraising Auction
Once premiered, the crowd went wild with enthusiasm and raised $52,000 for the cause.
